We chose Able Painting because of the positive feedback on Builderscrack so feel compelled to alert future customers to some issues before accepting a quote. 1. Be absolutely sure whether scaffolding will be required. (Once the job was started scaffolding was deemed necessary which added approx 25% to the quote). NB: Tony gave us the option to pull out of the job at this point. 2. The paint quantity was seriously underquoted. 2 x 10L pails quoted - 6 x 10L pails used.

"Yes, I take full responsibility for the scaffold. When I assessed the job it seemed fine and we had just finished another roof with a similar pitch, but when the painters started the job they weren't comfortable with the diamondeck. Therefore given it was a H&S issue, I had no option but to let the clients know scaffold would be necessary. The roof blistered with the first quote, so we had to spend a lot of time sanding (at no extra charge) and of course extra paint was required."
