Painting of weatherboards and concrete steps

We have two painting jobs that need doing: 1. An area of about 15 m2 of weatherboards, mostly just sanding and a couple of coats but some boards may need to be stripped back. We have some old paint that may do the trick. 2. Concrete steps and cappings (see picture) that need recoating with something more durable than the last effort. It's a very high traffic area and gets lots of weather, so the coating needs to be pretty tough.
