Job description
Fit deadlock to interior basement door and frame. Can supply lock or not. Needs to be done within a week if possible.

Cost overrun on simple job, would have appreciated a heads up when tradie arrived onsite and could see consequence of job. Further, asked for flat lock and what was installed was a huge protruding lock not at all like what I wanted. Spoke to tradie on day about it but was advised no other lock available. All round disappointing. Paid bill but would not use again or recommend.

"Quoted - 1 x deadbolt Dbl Key $70 + Labour $78 = $148 + Gst
Actual - 1 x deadbolt dbl key $70 + spacers $1.70 + Labour $78 = $149.70 + $52 to fit extra lock = $201.70 + Gst - Cost over run because of your request to fit extra lock.
The door was a very thin 30mm door (Not std) and a deadbolt needs a 35mm thick door minimum.
Deadbolts are a protruding lock but no more than a handle we suggested a single cylinder which is flat on one side but you insisted you wanted a double key?"
