Tree Floor Lamp (dimmable) - fix lights

Our dimmable tree lamp has stopped working. The light fixings themselves still work, but not in the tree lamp. Firstly, the lights would just stop working when the lamp was on, but would work again once lamp unplugged and plugged in again. Then, we moved the lamp, and now they won't turn on at all, despite trying different plug outlets. It's our favourite lamp, can you help us? The lamp is originally from Lighting Direct, Model KE-D3020F-15, and it uses12V 2-pin halogen bulbs. Thanks in advance!
