Hi - my lounge currently has three recessed downlights (all on the one switch). I want to remove these three lights, patch the ceiling, and install one central pendant light, about a foot - 2 feet from where one of the recessed lights currently is. Hopefully this new light can use the existing wiring from the downlights. I am in an apartment so there's no crawl space in the ceiling unfortunately. I assume this means I need both an electrician for the lights and wiring, and a general handyman for patching the ceiling. We can probably repaint the ceiling afterwards ourselves.
