Bedroom Light not Working

Our master bedroom light has decided to stop working. We have obviously changed the bulb, tried a bulb that we know works in another room in the master bedroom, changed the light batten (with two new, different branded battens) and tried a new light switch. The fuses look okay, so this is now beyond our skill level. All other lighting in the house is fine. Prior to the light no longer working it did flicker - we put it down to the bad weather at the time. Please let us know your availability and a rough estimate for your time. :)
