Two light sockets needing attention

I have one or maybe two light sockets that are not working and tripping the fuse. One fitting is not attached to the wiring so it needs to be rewired. The other may be fine. I'm not sure. I need it/them fixed this week. Finding an electrician who does not charge too much for little jobs would be great.
