Creative garden landscape job

We want to create a few interesting features in our small flat back garden. The whole section is 480 m.sq so it isn't a large area. We would like to have a raised veg garden and incorporate this into a curved area (maybe small paved area for birdbath which we have already) with some easy care planting. We have quite a few pot plants we can use and already have a patio built. Also would like a trellis/s to hide the clothes hoist with garden box for climbing plant. We are pensioners so would like to do this as economically as possible. It is already in lawn (not very good one but can't spend money on that as well.) We have a few garden objects that can be incorporated. Someone with ideas would be helpful. Re budget none actually were appropriate but at the mid to lower end of the one chosen is our preference.
