We want to remove the exisiting wooden retaining wall and have a new one built that is 1m closer to the boundary and at the maximum height allowable without a building consent. The length of the current retaining wall is approximately 25m and 0.6m height, which stretches the entire length of our boundary line. There is significant amount of soil to be removed as part of this job. The new retaining wall can be timber or concrete, depending on the best option for strength, durability, aesthetics and cost. There is a gentle to moderate sloping bank behind the retaining wall, we would like to have some levelling off at the top of the new retaining wall if possible. No specific timeframe for completion of the job. Flat section. Possible issue in getting large vehicles (trucks) down driveway due to narrow driveway and another house in front section.
