Build outdoor stairs down steep bank

I need outdoor stairs constructed to get access down a steep bank in my garden. I just need very basic steps, possibly just logs dug into the bank. They just need to be sturdy and not slippery. The bank is approx. 10m down, is steep, uneven, and unlandscaped. The steps can either go straight down, or could zig-zag depending on what works best with the bank. The fence down the bank is not in good condition and will likely be replaced in future so the stairs will need built slightly away from the fence. I've included photos of the bank, plus examples of the kind of steps I'm thinking about.
