kids back yard...

We need advice on planting a perimeter garden in our back yard, we would like a mixture of big trees and shrubs, there is an existing concrete garden and couple of trees, need advice on what to plant where, also an outdoor eating/entertaining corner and compost, small chicken cage and possibly toy/bike shed..we know roughly what we want just need a plan and some expertise! We need to keep costs down so once got a plan might do the rest in stages...not really sure...
