We started work to replace a falling retaining wall last year. During the demolition phase of the old retaining wall, a Watercare asset was found that the engineers had failed to identify. We have now received permission from Watercare to complete the retaining wall, however the builder originally contracted to build the wall is fully booked and unable to complete the job. To complete the job, we have: 1) A roughly 6m length of timber wall to build up to 2m high, a 90 degree turn back onto the property and a further ~3m wall to build (it is on a corner of the property), 2) Raise a watercare manhole roughly 2m, 3) Build a safety fence ontop of the retaining wall, and 4) If possible in the budget, do a bit of levelling, landscaping and another small retaining wall to create more usable garden space. I will share the engineering plans to an email address once contacted.
