Landscape Retaining Walls (Below 1.5m)

Part of timber has slipped and earth is pushing. Due to access problems machinery cannot be brought in to re do any part of the wall. It is been suggested that in respect of part some remedial work be done eg metal posts and strong chicken wire. I would be interested to hear from someone who has ideas on how to address this issue. It needs to be born in mind that it is not possible to get any large machinery eg digger in
