Street fronting retaining wall
Job description
Report or replace a retaining wall on the street frontage of our property. The wall spans the entire street front of our property - from our garage to our front gate. The wooden retaining is 1.2m tall and it has a trellis fitted on top. The retaining is probably 30 years old and is starting to lean and bow (about a 10 degrees lean and bowing 30cm in the middle). It is about 7m long. Currently it is of wood construction with a wooden paling face. It is right on the pavement edge boundary of our property. We would want this work done as either a repair or a like for like replacement, so it could be considered as a repair or maintenance task - so we would not want it to be replaced with a concrete or block wall. Timescale is fairly urgent - the lean is a concern right now. There is some shrubbery behind the retaining that can be removed (maybe as part of this work)

Excellent work done by Pete and Steve. They completed the new retaining wall quickly and to cost. The workmanship is second to none and we couldn't be happier. They took all the old materials away and left the site as they found it. The photo may look incomplete, but now it's down to me to add a trellis above the new fence and then stain everything.
