Retaining wall and deck
Job description
We are seeking a building to quote for the: 1. replacement of a small retaining wall 2. construction of a new fence on top of the retaining wall 3. construction of a new deck/walkway with steps Project details: 1. Retaining wall and fence Replace an existing retaining wall which is falling down. It is 6000mm long and 800mm high. The ground behind it though is only at 600mm high. (see pictures 1 & 2). I have some treated posts available to be used to for the retaining (see picture 4). There is an existing drain running down the property fence line which can used to plumb in any retaining wall drainage. We are also looking to get a 2m fence built on top of the retaining wall once complete. Just a standard rough sawn panel fence. 2. Deck/walkway Build a deck/walkway with handrail which wraps around covered porch and has steps down to ground level (see picture 3 and deck layout). It’s needs to be an L shape with an overall length of 3m and width of 1.1m. New posts will be needed on the outside edge, but I think the other edge of the deck can be attached to the porch. This will require removing the existing steps. We are hoping to get the work complete before February 2022.
