Basic landscaping & installing deck railing

We're wanting our backyard to be redesigned, including basic landscaping work and installing railing on our deck. Our backyard previously had a lot of rubbish on site. We've recently had this all removed and are now wanting to make the space more usable in time for Christmas. Our style is for something simple that requires low ongoing maintenance.
