Lawn and fence

I have a section slopping away from the house and I would like to look into leveling the bottom part of the garden by using a retaining wall and possibly install a fence running alongside the back at the same time. I would like to have lawns on this leveled section for my son to play on it. Photos show the steps leading to the back of the garden where I would like to have a flat section and the additional area where the fence would need to be installed.
