I am embarking on phase 1 of 3 to landscape the front of my property. Phase 1 will require several low in height retaining walls (approx 600mm) constructed of Allan Blocks. Retaining walls closest to pubic path will require a curvature to following the contours of the path. The idea is to then fill in the slope with soil to create a tier. Drainage will be required. Once tier completed (allowing for a little slope for runoff), this will form the canvas for the planting and additional landscaping. Two tiers created on either side of driveway. Driveway will be widened in the process. Requesting quote for labour only, I may source materials seperately. Only tradesman with experience in building retaining walls will be considered. Referees desirable. Additional work may follow in the New Year when I embark on Phase 2 and 3. Cheers

I have to give the guys a huge wrap. Whilst their business is relatively fresh, they have so much enthusiasim, passion and maturity, that I am left with no doubt they will build on their success. There willingness to listen and please the customer is an attirbute not always seen amongst trades people - even when complications occur. They wont leave the finished job until you, as the customer, is satisfied. They are keen learners and willing to try new techniques. Summarising above, they are not ego driven. Due to unforseen complications, labour costs would have exceeded quote. However they stuck to the quoted price which in my view, is an honest representation of how all tradies should operate. This gives some assurance to the clients budget. Overall, costs did exceed my budget but that was because the project was tweaked somewhat which meant additional materials were required - no problem at my end as I was always consulted. Marked down a little on sticking to schedule but they always communicated with me throughout. I have no doubt they would have stuck to the deadline had I puished it but I had some flexibility built into this project. Some give and take is always required. Finally, effective communication is often missing in action with most industries. Steve did not lack in this area. Simply superb! Good luck in the future guys, enjoy the beers and have a great Xmas.
