I have an area out the back of my house approximately --- W+1mWx1.6L) where I used to have a deck and garden. I have recently ripped the deck (well most of it) & garden up and am looking to pave. I am doing a bit of a search of pavers in my area to get a rough order of costs. I know every job is different however I was wondering whether I’d be able to get a rough indication of cost. to: -Lay landscaping fabric ( if required), base course and compact (I’m guessing 50 to 75 mm) -Lay bedding sand -Install pavers and seal. -If there are typical additional items which I am missing I would be happy to add. I think most of the required excavation has already been done. However, time allowing, I should be able to do the bulk of this if additional excavation is required. With lockdown I haven't been able to get out to have a look at what I would prefer in terms of a paver. However, looking through a few websites (landscapesolutions mostly) I think we would probably go for something like a dry cast Bowers flagstone --- (grey or dark grey) or what they call “leather stone paver - --- ”. Also, in your response maybe advise on whether the paver size sounds about right for the width of the area I have described. As you will see in the photo the area runs between the house and a timber fence, with the 3.4m dimension between the two. I am guessing that I may need to put a slot drain along the fence line to pick up runoff. This can terminate into a sump nearby- is this something that could be included? As can be seen in the photos there is a deck next to the pavers which I’d like to tie into. Existing old deck in the photo will be removed prior to the pavers going in.
