Rebuild old Ponga wall into a new Macrocarpa retaining wall

We have a relatively low retaining wall to rebuild. Max height is 1.0m. Need the old wall removed, tidy base and rebuild new wall. Happy to have suggestions but a sleeper wall or macro slabs seem suitable. Total length is 9m + 4m = 13metres. And heights vary from 0mm to 1,000mm (sloping) Once finished we will want to plant around the top of the wall. In the photos much of the wall has gone from the lower section (where the BBQ is)
