I am needing someone to build a retaining wall across the back of my section (approximately 50m) a small distance out from the boundary fence to allow a hedge to be planted on the top. The property is on sand and I am lead to believe that I can have a Firth retaining block wall as a timber wall could be quite costly needing bigger posts and more concrete to secure the posts. The wall is approximately 1.2m high (so no consent needed). There is a hill of sand that was covered in rocks. The rocks will be fully removed by the end of next week, however the remaining sand will need to be moved. There is good access through the boundary fence via a vacant red zone section (permission by LINZ, of course there is a form to be filled out by contractor!). The washing line will be moved to its new home soon. I have had a good landscape plan for the section developed I am wishing to also have some of the landscaping installed at the same time.
