Job description

Plants & Shrubs
Auckland

1. Remove existing fence in our backyard (it is on a massive lean and probably going to fall down soon..) and build a new one. Just after the cheapest fence possible as we will be growing a creeper up it. I have planted some new ficus pumula which you can see in the photos so ideally would like to minimise any damage to these so they can hopefully re attach to the new fence once built.. Dimensions for the fence are approx 20metres long and 2 metres high see photos (current fence height varies from 1.6m to 1.8m) 2. Front of property (roadside). - Remove the existing Michelia gracipes hedge along the fence - Big cull and clearout - Prune existing mature trees to restore tight appearance (I think they are Acer sp) - Remove existing undergrowth from the top of the retaining wall, leaving Star jasmine if feasible - Remove enough existing soil to allow for a deep planting holes for new planting, remove ponga logs - Plant Ficus Tuffi hedge and stake (I am sourcing the trees, will be 11 in total to plant) on top of the stone wall, by the retaining wall into nutrient-dense garden mix - Build a timber edge framing to create a clean top line on top of the retaining wall to create a square uniform structured garden bed to let Ficus pumila climb onto it and create a solid tidy green line over time - Plant additional Star jasmine underneath Acer spp. trees to create a uniformly planted bed 3. Boundary Hedge Planting - Remove existing Camelia spp. and Buxus spp. hedges, and all undergrowth from the boundary - Dig out the roots as required to create a clear planting bed - Remove enough existing soil to allow for deep planting holes around the new plants - Plant and stake Titokis (they are 2metres in 17litre bags) on the boundary ( I am sourcing the titokis), back fil the holes with nutrient dense planting mix
