New flat lawn up to neighbours fence.

I firstly need to have something secure?sturdy? against the horizontal wooden fence on the boundary boarder. The soil needs to fill the hole left from the removal of fence, the wood of which needs to be carted away. Grass needs to be planted in what was the vegetable garden. I need some help with the entire job please.
