Replacement of sleeper plank in raised garden bed

We have a sleeper which has rotten and is breaking away from the raised garden bed. It needs replacing please, preferably without having to take all the earth out of the planter box! There may be a few more which need replacing too, but I would want to have some advice as to if they need to be done now or can wait a few more years.
