the rock retaining wall (1m high, 12m long) and the wooden fence above it (1.4m high above the wall) are both being impacted by the roots of a large tree close to the front of the section. The wall & footpath are cracking, the wooden fence is bulging and will eventually collapse. The tree is quite large (for this section) and if it fell would block the road, which is a main thoroughfare, Sandringham Rd, so traffic control may be required. We will remove the trees at the front. We want a tradesman to remove the brick wall and replace it with a wooden retaining wall, with scoria and drainage behind. Backfill. Then build a wooden fence above to a similar size to what is currently there. I would want to talk to any tradie wanting to quote.
