Reseeding/Hydroseeding lawn

My lawns been a bit of a disaster. I first tried to establish one back in the summer of --- but the hot and dry weather left me with just weeds and a massive water bill! :-( . I had another crack at doing my lawn this year in April hoping the autumn rains would keep the grass happy. Unfortunately the lawn got hit with a torrential downpour and washed most of the seeds away. The birds did the rest. So once again I have only weeds to show for it. I've heard from friends hydroseeding is the best way to go. The area for establishing a lawn is about 150sqm (guess). In April I spread about 4 cubic metres of new top soil which is still mostly exposed .
