Update interior

Have been living in our home sine 2012, the house is about 20 years old , we used an interior designer when we moved in but it's looking a bit dated. Ready to update, looking to make it cosy and relaxed for an active couple in early 60's. Would like to pay for advice from an experienced interior designer to come up with a cohesive plan then we will implement this ourselves.
