Job description

Residential Insulation
Wellington

I would like to get a quote for insulating the exposed chapel ceilings of 3x units. These are two storied units with a bedroom/stairway (with skylight) and a downstairs lounge/dining/kitchen (also with a skylight) ceiling. NB. unit F is a slightly different layout, no skylights downstairs I don't think. Both levels will need to be insulated, gibbed, plastered and painted please. I have attached some photos of this particular unit so you have an idea of what needs to be done prior to visiting the properties to quote. To my knowledge, all of the units are the same size but best to double check this. So it is not a messy job while the property is tenanted, I wondered if it were possible to do this in a way where we can leave the plastering/painting to a later date if necessary? An idea as well so it isn't as much area to heat is to lower the ceiling which is being built but providing a couple of different options/prices could be helpful. One other builder suggested it would be easy and cheap to put pieces of plywood between each ceiling joist and stick sheets of insulation underneath each piece of plywood and this would also look very tidy unpainted as you could just put a wooden bead over the joins of plywood? This is not an urgent job but we would like to have this done before May 2018 (in time for winter). The other factor is these are the homes of elderly tenants so we would ideally want to try and do this work without being too invasive and as quickly as possible per separate unit (nb. it would be fine if each unit isn't done one after the other so long as whichever one is being worked on is completed as quickly as possible). Second, is there any way the work could be done while they still lived in the unit? For example, slept downstairs while upstairs was being done and vice versa or if this is not possible/too complicated what is the time period of work if we had to relocate the tenants while the work is being done?
