Insulating 80 sqm barn loft + 30 sqm garage skillion ceilings w Expol ThermaSlab

Hello! We're looking to have the skillion ceiling in our 80 sqm barn loft insulated with Expol 100mm grade H ThermaSlab (see photo below). We'd like to keep as much of the exposed beams visible (it's a major part of the loft's appeal) so our idea is, if possible, to carefully glue the Expol using Styro-FIX to the existing chipboard ceiling, and we can then subsequently paint the polystyrene with a water-based paint. The spaces between the beams vary quite a bit, so we are anticipating that the sheets would need to be cut precisely and cleanly with a hot wire cutter. We also have a 30 sqm lined garage that we'd like to insulate similarly, maybe with offcuts from the barn? Our location is in Topuni, which is about halfway between Wellsford and Kaiwaka. Thanks!
