Bathroom extractor fan

Job description

Residential Insulation
Auckland

Published on 18 November 2009

A 1930s bungalow, previous owners have renovated half the bathroom area into the kitchen. So when we moved in, the extractor fan/grill/heatlamp/light all in one fixture was on the kitchen ceiling. Since then we have removed that exterior fixture and put in a new kitchen light fitting. I believe the old extractor fan duct is still inside the ceiling cavity, disconnected. The kitchen is right next to the bathroom, so was wondering if the extractor duct can be slightly extended and use it to dehumidify the bathroom? Plus, a hole will need to be made on the ceiling of bathroom to fit the extractor fan unit, and all electrical work involved with installation. What group of tradespeople do I need to contact? How much will this cost? Please get back to me, as the condensation is driving me mad! Best way is via Email, but mobile is fine too. Thanks.
