Property Inspection and Quotation

Around 2 weeks ago after the earthquake in Wellington, my ceiling suddenly showed water stains and the underfloor insulation was also strewn around (although I’m not sure if the underfloor insulation’s condition was caused by the earthquake), but luckily there’s no water dripping yet. I called a builder to do an emergency work by sealing the roof, and I made a claim with EQC and they told me that I have to get a certified builder to do a specified inspection on the ceiling and underfloor insulation to determine whether or not the damages were caused by an earthquake. They also require a GST-inclusive quote once inspection is done, including your GST number and company letterhead. The quote or short description has to explain the extent of the damage, detailed and comprehensive photos, and a description of what work needs to be done. Since I work full time, my preferable time for the inspection would be before 9 am, specifically around 8 am, although I can consider other times as well. My house has 2 storeys, so you would need a long ladder to be able to climb from the backyard. The inside of the roof can be accessed from inside the house.
