Mould inspection in bedroom ceiling

Hello In my master bedroom ceiling some mould is getting accumulated on the linear edge. I am looking to find out the root cause of it if its internal or external. Don't want to test the sample of mould, just they way to find out the root cause to apply permanent fix. Please have a look into the attached picture and let me know how much it cost roughly.
