Job description

Insurance Valuation
New Plymouth

Tower Insurance has asked me to compile a report for an insurance claim, with a builder signing off the problem was not done through general wear-and-tear or human intervention, but by natural events. I believe at some point that an earthquake has caused the damage, given what has occurred and the damage as it exists, but since I have no idea of when it occurred (It had been primarily a storage space before the problem was discovered, as it hid the issues), Tower have asked for an official builder report to confirm this is the most likely occurrence and a rough quote as to how much it will take to fix. It appears that the bedroom wall has separated slightly from the block wall it should be connected to, leaving 2mm+ crack at the base of the wall. It has also created a crack on the wall to the left, extended the entire height of the wall, and caused the molding at the top of the wall to be disconnected. I have put No More Gaps in the places affected by the gaps, but realize they may have to be removed for the purposes of the inspection. This was just to ensure nothing fell down/crawled out of the gaps that existed I'd like someone who could submit a formal report confirming these issues and the cost to replace, suitable for the insurance claim
