After the cyclone, I found that my back door (aluminium joinery) was sticking. I could see that it was because the floor had swollen and then made the bottom track of the door push up. Subsequently the glass in the door has smashed due to the sticking door. We have submitted an insurance claim to repair the floor and reinstate the door (if possible). They require us to get quotes to do the work. It will require the door to be removed to acces the floor, the floor to be removed and replaced with ply, the door to be reinstated (if possible), or replaced and then reinstalled, the floor coverings to be replaced (currently cork tiles) and then finished (the cork floor flows to the kitchen and dining area, the surround of the door to be re-finished and any wall damage done during the repair to be finished to current. There may be some damage to the external wall while removing the door too.
