Repairs to underfloor heating system

Job description

Underfloor Heating
Selwyn

I cannot find any details on the underfloor system.  I understand it has pipes laid out in the paddock that come back to a heat pump/transfer unit at the house.  In the garage there are water pipes that have the ability to set the temperature and identify each of the zones.   The system is controlled with a Honeywell CM67 Chronotherm. The house is approx 15 years old and its concrete tilt slab.  We have lived there for the last 4 years. The system hasn't really worked correctly since we moved in, but has definitely deteriorated since being there with whole rooms that now have no heating.  We turned the heating off last year in desperation and installed a large log burner, but this is not sufficient to heat the house.  We would like to understand the issue with the heating and repair as well as look at the possibility of changing how it is powered - when we first moved into the house over summer we were getting $1200 a month power bills, this came down significantly when we adjusted the temperatures, but we are keen to explore other options that will reduce the overall  running cost.
