Heat pump bracket reinstalled

A heat pump outdoor section,which had been bracketed onto a brick wall needs repairing. Due to a mishap the bracket has ripped out part of the brick and needs to be reinstalled. The job would be to either replace the brick and reinstall the bracket into it, or to fill the hole in the damaged brick with a filler of somekind (plaster?) level it, then reinstall the bracket. We want it done as cheaply as possible as we are poor students
