Is our house right for a wood burner?

Hi there, we have moved into a renovated 1920s 80m2 home in Beckenham, and would love a wood burner, however its not apparent where one should go, if one would fit, and from that how well it would heat the house. so we are looking for some honest advice to put is in the right direction. thanks
