Heat Pump Unusual Behaviour

Our heatpump is a Daikin Inverter FVXS50FV1A. We have just turned it onto heating for the first time in the season due to a few cold nights and have noticed it randomly stopping during the heat cycle. It does this for a few minutes and then resumes. Normially this only happens in frosty conditions. When it does work it seems to be usual temp etc. It could be that it just needs a service as it has been a while. But would appreciate some thoughts on what the problem could be and where possible an estimation on costs. Ideally too if there is someone that can come up before easter weekend that would be appreciated.
