Our house has a concealed gutter system which has previously overflowed and leaked, causing damage to the house. Although the damage was repaired, during a recent period of heavy rain, part of the gutter near the front door appeared to be either overflowing or leaking still. An area of the carport overflows or leaks during heavy rain also. It is suspected that the gutters may require clearing of leaves, other vegetation or debris and/or are possibly in need of some repair. We have also been advised by our building inspector to install additional overflow spouts to mitigate the risk of overflow and damage during heavy rain. The scope of the work includes: 1) Cleaning and unblocking of all gutters and rainwater drain pipes, including the car port and checking for any parts of the gutter system that need repairs. 2) Undertaking repairs where there is any damage or leakage. 3) Installation of additional overflow spouts to deal with heavy rain fall – Note there are two existing overflows at the rear of the house. The Contractor will be expected to provide their own access equipment and undertake activities in a safe manner.
