Fireplace Repair

I have a Kent free standing fireplace which blows back smoke into the room. It only happens on some occasions and does not appear to come out around the door. I would like to have someone look at it and suggest what repairs may need doing to fix this. It also does not tend to burn well during these times. Thanks Diane
