Furniture repairs and resurfacing-other bits and pieces too

Can you repair the slat in my couch? Maybe put it back together and screw/glue a flat piece over it to hold in place? The wooden towel stand a dowel has been broken either replace the dowel or glue back together. Also sand and polyurethane 2 couch frames and patch of floor. Please see photos Vicki
