Rumpus room floor repair
Job description
Some of the flooring in a downstairs rumpus has lifted and twisted due to water damage. Additional drainage has been installed so we are now needed to repair the floor. As you will see from the pics only a small part of the floor needs replacing. Only 6 slabs need replacing- 2 on the left of the gap, 3 on the right of the gap and the gap itself because they are all twisted. However it is an Australian wood and the planks are only 60mm wide and not easy to match. Possible solutions could be: 1. planks of the same 60mm width but not an exact match or 2. replace the wood with floor tiles covering the 640mm of damage. Butt the tiles up against the existing wooden floor. I want to put the house on the market asap so am keen to progress with this job. There is also a wooden door frame that needs to be replaced in the house.
