Floor prep for bathroom tiling

I’ve pulled up the tiles and skirting in my bathroom for tiling and have noticed an existing leak from the ceiling which may have affected the flooring. Would love someone to come and check this, and potentially replace as needed, as well as recommendations on prepping for tiling. There’s a lot of ancient adhesive from the tiles which would take Thor to remove, so looking for help with this.
