Repairs to damaged floor

Due to old hot water cylinder developing a slow leak, the floor in the cupboard adjacent to it became damaged and needs to be replaced. The damage has extended into the hallway. The cylinder had to be replaced, so this will need to be removed for building work and reconnected once the work is finished. If possible I would like to replace the existing cork tiles some of which will need to be removed, and replace them with wood-effect vinyl flooring if possible. The hallway is a small area in a small house.
