Cat door through metal back door

I want to put a cat door into our back door. The door is 1980mm x 910mm and has metal panels front and back but seems to be hollow otherwise. I'm wanting to look at the price of cutting a hole in the existing door for the cat door and if this can actually be done. One of the photos shows the wooden frame that sits inside the metal front and back panels. Ideally the cat door would be in before the end of June.
