Fixing scratches and small damage to home stairwell wall

Someone has damaged the wall of our reasonably new house as they moved furniture upstairs when we were away. They have made an attempt to patch it but the patches are not flush with the wall and make the stairwell look patchy. There are also a couple of additional scratches and small indents. I’m wanting someone who can do a really nice job to make it smooth and look as new but without painting the whole wall! (Seems to me it may need a little plaster and certainly some sanding.) I have the paint. I expect it is a small job for someone experienced and will take little time. But I don’t want it to look blotchy as it would be if I did it! If there was any chance to come and look at it today (Tuesday 25 Jan) that would be great as I will be home to meet you. Thank you.
