a sun covering over exsisting deck

Hi There, I have moved into a new build with a deck built of my french doors. the lenghth of the deck would be approx 10 ft and width 5 or 6 ft will need to measure more accuratly. would either like a sun shade erected or a water proof covering using corrogated grey smokey roofing. Thanks Catherine
