Wall covering split, garden hoses and table assembly

The house was built in the 1970's. The wall in question is quite flimsy material -very thin panels. It looks as if the weight of the curtains holding the rail may have split this wallcovering. My supposition. So how to fix the split, how to anchor the curtain rails - so they stay up. Need to get this done before Christmas please. Curtain holder just fellout today then noticed cracked wall covering. Starting Air BNB Dec 27th so need this fixed plus might be selling house in month or two - so need it done properly. I might be a bit thick but have bought two new hose reels to tidy up garden - cant figure out how assemble. and also have outdoor table needs assembling
