Sounds like creature stuck in range hood

Can hear movement and clawing inside the range hood Have tried to remove the filters to see if I can get in there but it looks like a bigger job that might involve something electrical. Or can possibly go from the extractor fan on the outside if there is an appropriate tool? Just want to get it sorted in case it is like a mouse/rat that will eventually start stinking up the house. Would also be a good time to clean it which I'm happy to pay for as well.
