We recently bought a house and failed our first pool inspection. Looks like previous owners put in some landscaping features that breached pool regulations. Need to get this fixed before next inspection in a few weeks. Inspection Summary Fail Comments 1. Pool fencing minimum 1.2m height above and away from (in an arc) ground level or any permanent projections ( Fail ) Your pool fencing inspection has failed due to the issue listed in the above failed comments section. Council will arrange for a recheck of the fencing in approx. 21 days time, --- . Photographs of the completed remedial work can be accepted, to either cut retaining wall back to 1.2m from the fence, or raise metal fence and adjoining rear boundary fence to 1.2m from the retaining wall. Latter option must ensure that that it is a sheer panel of a durable material so there are no horizontal support rails less than 900mm apart. See photos for details.
